This evening we experienced Catfish Country for the 1st time. They immediately brought to the table, a bowl of coke slaw and a couple of buttermilk biscuits. We ordered fried zucchini as an appetizer which was a pretty good portion. country fried steak which came with grilled onions and brown gravy, a hush puppy and one side. I chose black beans and rice. Yes I ordered a non fish at a fish restaurant. The country fried steak was thin with more fried parts than meat. I think I would not choose this item again here. The gravy was a bit salty (mind you, I don’t add salt to anything I cook or eat). The black beans and rice were really good and I would order them again. We also ordered the grilled tilapia which was a generous and tasty filet with one side ( we chose green beans). Both were tasty. Kristina was our server and she was friendly, helpful and attentive enough as our glasses were never empty. We recommend this restaurant if you are in the area and we will return. Next time, I will most likely order the broiled seafood trio.
