Very dingy and unclean restaurant. Not only was the food below average but several of us got food poisoning. I will not be visiting this restaurant again and would not recommend it to anyone. Our waitress was very friendly and this review is no reflection on the staff.

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. There’s a reason this spot has been around for decades. The service was nice, bread was warm and fresh, food came out fast, and it was all wonderful. Ribs were tender and prime rib sandwich was lean and perfectly cooked. All around I give this plae 5 stars!!!!
I have been here many times over the past 25 years. In recent years I felt there was a decline in food quality and appearance of the restaurant. Went tonight with a friend because of a coupon (1appetizer, 2 entrees and 1 dessert for $20). No catch other than you had to buy one beverage each. Food was very good (we both got a full rack of ribs) and our waitress was pleasant and attentive. I admit I didn’t get my white glove out but nothing jumped out at me in terms of cleanliness. We ate in the bar. The last time I ate in the main dining room the carpet looked pretty awful. Worth a try.
Burnt over dinner. Dinner started out with a loaf of bread, unfortunately it was stale. Asked waitress for fresh bread, she went to get it, came back to table and told me that they left the lid off the container this morning, and the bread got stale. She said they would bring us a fresh loaf.. Well, that never happened. Dinner came.. My wife’s BOSS steak sandwich was bland. My ribs were good, but the chicken was slightly warmer than room temp and was dry. Manager wouldn’t take the time to talk to me. Paid for dinner with credit card, and was actually pushed out of the way from another waitress. Wont be going back..ever.. Called credit card company .. disputing charge. Didn’t eat more than 25% of my meal.. nor did my wife.. Waitress didn’t even ask if everything was ok or not. Come on.. the plates were still 3/4 full when she took the plates.. ummm rocket science.. something IS wrong. Never again.. and I do mean never. Not a complainer.. But WOW that was terrible.
Beware of Bait and Switch on coupons. This was my family’s first time. We decided to give it a try because we had a coupon for 19.99 off of 2 rib dinners. The coupon didn’t say you needed to show it upon ordering. However, the manager decided they would only honor $10 off since we didn’t present it upon ordering.The food was ok, the restaurant was dirty. It’s ashame management does not stand behind it’s commitments.
