Chicken Cutters Cuts Competition. The jerk chicken cutters were seasoned well. Having much experience with jerk chicken and being from the West Indies, I know a good jerk chicken when I taste it. This jerk chicken was spicy as well as flavorful, making my mouth water with every bite. Even the scent had flavor in it. The chicken was moist, and cooked with consistency. I’ll definitely be going back. miamiculinarytours.com
Our experience was definitly not the bestdue to the service which I expected to be quite good as I had heard it was a family owned redtaurant. Now nothing we ate was bad. It was good but not crazy good and I felt ripped off for the quality and quantity of food. Sorry but won’t be going back.
First time eating here, it was great. The pork dishes were great bad the spices were tasty!
Like Being in the Islands. CalypsoPompano BeachCasual place with Caribbean flair, straw hats on wall, pelican and beach painting, various beach decoupage work. To top things off Caribbean music fills the air. DH started his meal with mussels, they were in some kind of tomato broth and topped with what looked like stewed tomatoes and peppers. They give you a good size portion and they taste delicious, the only problem here was there was no decent bread to dip in the broth. I got the Conch fritters, a little on the chewy side but enjoyed the flavor nonetheless. My entree of the West Indies BBQ Shrimp were really good, the brown sauce was amazing. It was a dark brown butter sauce with pepper, garlic and dried spices. The Fried shrimp entree was good also. Dinners come with 2 sides and salad. Beer and wine only – no liquor. Service was fast.Note: this place is closed on weekends except for private parties.
What a find! It’s in a small strip mall so we were leary at first. Thank goodness we went on in. The food was amazing from the salad with ginger dressing, crab cakes, fresh fried clam strips(best ever) and the double coconut pie!!! The service was great as well. Will definitely return.
To say I enjoyed this meal would be an understatement – this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The shrimp bruschetta was fresh and bursting with flavor. The crab stuffed shrimp with bacon was hearty and delicious. The shrimp and scallop burger was just that – lightly breaded – no peppers or fillers. Slaw was excellent. Key lime pie to die for. If you are nearby, you must eat here!!!
Best Ahi tuna ever!!!!!!!!!!!. This is a wonderful very laid back atmosphere and the menu extensive but not so broad that the restaurant cant deliver on every item every time. There are many favorite dishes, but I have to say the last dish I had was there Ahi tuna, a total delight that I didn’t want to end. This is a must go to, Calyoso is a true Jewel and I highly recommend it 5*****
