Delicious Authentic German Food & Awesome Service. We visited this restaurant last night and I was blown away! First let me say they have beer in Das Boot – which is so much fun. And the beer selection takes up a whole menu of its own. Now on to the food. We started with the chopped salad for two which was actually shared by 6 of us and that was the perfect small amount. Then we had several entrees but I think there were two standouts…Schweinhaxen – a TWO pound pork shank that is crispy on the outside and to die for tender on the inside. It had a bit of brown gravy and my two sides were perfect Spaetzel and red cabbage. You can taste the love in this food! Then the Pan-Seared Lemon-Riesling Grouper was also spectacular. It was crisp and perfectly cooked with moist a moist flaky center. Really done to perfection. Our server was the sister (I tried to remember and I think it is Natalie?) of the owner and she gave us great suggestions and was perfection in efficiency! AND she makes the most delicious pineapple upside down cake that we enjoyed for dessert. This is a small charming restaurant well worth the 50 minute drive it takes us to get here. Great night, great food, great people!

Authentically not authentic. They deep fry all of their food. You can see it when you sit at the bar. No German food is deep fried but roasted! I don’t know how they convinced the locals or tourists (mostly, probably) that what they offer is authentic German food! But, the tourists or who ever I saw there where like 70 years old or so. In short: this is a tourist trap. Be aware you getting every protein deep fried!!!! And, that is a fast food service. Will not go back.
