Just like old times.. It’s been over 20 years since I’ve eaten here. Back in the day we ate here 2 to 3 times per week. I ordered the roast beef with peppers an onions just like old times…. It was still spot on tasty. I did have to hunt for the BBQ sauce for my fries but once located the meal was perfect. My dining partners burger was a bit undercooked but not enough to send it back. We passed on the milkshakes but I’m sure they’re as good as ever. $18.45 for two fricksworld.blogspot.com
Dry and Overpriced!. After dining on 2 different items I was not impressed! The burger was very dry, they need to add more fat to the ix to increase flavor and make the burger juicy. They also need to stop pressing out what juices are in the meat while cooking. As for the add ons such as the Tomato and lettuce thats a .40 joke! A flimsy slice of Tomato and a wilted piece of lettuce. I ordered onion for the burger and they give you a tiny cup of chopped onion, they should be sliced onion either red or vidalia as the chopped just falls out of the bun. I ordered a chili dog and the dog was a poor quality and the chili was a dry paste of meat and had no flavor. Everything for your burger is an option with a cost. They have been around for many years and are complacent with the customer base they have however with some attention to current food being offered there is much room for improvement and they would keep the current customers happy and certainly increase business with minimal additional cost.
My b/f had the Jack 1/2 lb cheeseburger and it was super juicy and delicious! The chili cheese fries were amazing, the chili was really authentic and had a great taste. I had the turkey club sandwich and it was great. We would recommend it to friends.
Yummy!. I just love typing the word yummy…LOL. Interesting to read the reviews of Jacks. Before Five Guys, before Burger Fi, before Elevation Burger and countless others there was Jacks. No fuss, no BS 2 store mom and pop burger chain that I LOVE. You say greasy, I say juicy. I love the half pounder with extra cheese and when you take a bite you know you are eating a nice juicy burger not some hockey puck imitation. From the little condiment station, I love to put alittle ketchup, mustard, some of the chili salsa stuff ( not sure what it is), and some chopped onions on my cheese burger. Just good stuff. I never had anything else on the menu except the milkshakes and fries which are also good. One of these days I’ll sample something else, but if I walked inside Jacks and didn’t eat a burger I would feel like I committed a sin and I’m not even religious. lol. By the way, you can order raw burgers to cook at home. It took me 30 plus years to know that so I figured I would share that information with you. For 6 1/2 pounders with buns will cost you around 18 bucks and change. Just Yummy…..see I typed it again..LOL YUMMY Whoo Hooo! Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!
Old fashioned. Very old looking burger ok very expensive couldnt find it..
Have to say the best juicy burger I’ve tasted. The shakes are great also! Always loves to go.’
Good and Fresh – Made to Order. Great burgers. Nice size, great ground beef that tastes fresh. You pick the toppings. Fries are good as well. Try the shakes, they are real milk shakes made with real ice cream. A must try for any local (or tourist – just not anywhere central).
