I’m sure at some point this place was a nice place to eat on Atlantic Blvd, but it is absolutely terrible now. Limited menu and small portions, combined with the subpar tasting food makes it really hard to pay $20 per plate. The wait staff is great and I think they known the issues with the good. The guy was nice enough and kept checking on us asking how it was. Once we have him the so-so message, he seemed to be pretty understanding of what was going on.Stay away. I read the reviews and went anyway. Don’t make that mistake.

Good Italian food 3.01.2013. We were at La Veranda on a Saturday nite after the art show in Los Almos. We got there before 6:30, fortunately, because around 6:45 it started filling up. The waiting area was backed to the walls,so reservations are recommended. The food is excellent. This is a real Italian restaurant. I will be back (not on weekends) to try other dishes. If you like Italian, try La Veranda. They’ve been here a long time and know how to run a restaurant. Excellent Marinara sauce.Wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable even as it was extremely busy.

Hands down the best Italian in south Florida. From staff to food and from food to atmosphere a true winner.

Delciously Classy. This is a great option for a truly delicious Italian meal in the Fort Lauderdale area. It is most definitely a better choice than the extremely mediocre and inhospitable/unfriendly Casa D’Angelo Ristorante. I’d recommend any of La Veranda’s veal and/or seafood dishes. Also, the tomato sauce is out of this world!!

Get the Lobster Fra Diablo!. One of my most favorite places to dine. Been going here for at least 10 years now and have never had a bad experience. My favorite Dish is the Lobster Fra Diablo, it’s amazing!!!!

Good Italian fare. A little on the pricey side but worth the money. Attentive staff and worthy of a return trip!

Great Italian Food In Pompano. I have been patronizing this restaurant with my family since I was a little girl. We used to come here on Christmas Eve. Grant it I was a young child so I didn’t eat much, but since then we have been back and the food has always been consistently good. Its more Southern Italian style though. Salads are always fresh, pastas are always delicious. Be sure to get there ahead of time though in the Fall-Winter months because there is almost always a wait, especially around the holidays. Have a drink at the bar while you wait or sit outside in the charming patio veranda and sip a glass of wine.
