What a rip off!. So today is my b day and my boyfriend and I wanted to eat outside at a restaurant with a nice view. We decide to go to ponce inlet and out of all the restaurants we picked this one, bad mistake!!! The view is exactly what we were looking for and I did get to see dolphins which made my day but the food sucked and was way Over priced!! We ordered mushroom caps for an appetizer which was $10 for four small caps, over priced! We each had a fish sandwich. Mine was dry and I didn’t even eat it. My boyfriends fish sandwich was $17 and it didn’t even come with a side, rip off. All together we had 2 fish sandwiches, a pina colada, a beer and and appetizer for lunch and the bill was $71.00. Like I said great view but way over priced and the food is not the best. We should have went to inlet harbor. Never going back again!!!!
Terrible. Tonight we had dinner at down the hatch. We ordered appetizer ( calamari and conch fritters ). The calamari was not very good. Then we ordered dinner 3 plates were the hatch combo 4 shrimp 1 fish 4 scallops. The shrimp was so over cooked you could hardly eat them. The fish was good. The scallops where so small you had to look for them. My sons tuna was good. The service by Heather was very good. I have been here lots of times and the foods not the same anymore.
Best Coconut Shrimp to Date. They were generously breaded with coconut flakes that were not overly candied or sweet tasting. Their mango cream sauce was just right without being overpowering. And the salad was unique with craisins, apples and a their homemade vinagrette.
We loved view. Peel off shrimp were excellent!! We want to come back again.
Used to be so much better.. We first went 5 years ago and enjoyed it, we returned last night spent over $130 and felt like we got ripped off. Wife’s shrimp was over cooked as were mine and my scallops tasted as if I was chewing on rubber.. Overall such a disappointment.. I don’t understand how restaurants with great locations seem to rest on their laurels and think the view makes up for the mediocre attempt at seafood..
Incredibly overpriced. $5 for the Hushpuppy appetizer which came with 6 hushpuppies. Almost $1 a Hushpuppy. I thought they were kidding.I hope their drinks are stong because I would need them if I ever came again it to overlook their prices and lack of seasoning. Small portion of fish for the fish sandwich and a bag of Ruffles!?
Been coming to this restaurant with my parents for my whole life. We gave up coming for many years but now it is now under new ownership. The food is fresh and amazing! We had the tuna steak, grouper snapper and pork chop, all fresh and steaming hot. Pat was also friendly and very accommodating, she did an excellent job. This place is definitely back on our list!
