The mushroom and onion Philly was great. I can’t think of a single complaint other than that it is here and I live in Texas.
I grew up outside of Philly and this place reminded me of that. The Cheese steak was right on and the Italian sub was awesome.. they even had sweet peppers.. that was awesome.. i strongly reccommend tbis place..
Best Philly in Daytona. I am being totally honest in saying this is the best philly in Daytona. I am also being honest in saying it is not the best in the world either. I come down here at least once or twice a year and always stop by famous philly’s twice during a visit. I personally like the atmosphere and that you can sign the walls and pretty much anything else in the restaurant! Don’t go here if you are stuck up and can’t have a good time!
Great Philly. My gf and I used to go every Friday like clockwork. They have excellent cheesesteaks and the one thing about them is that there is tooooo much meat!! But that’s not a bad thing, I literally take 1/2 the meat off the sandwich, put it into a to go box and take it home to make another one later.. and there is plenty of meat on both! It is the most meat on a philly I have ever seen personally. The taste is great, the service is good. The place is old and dated a bit but cozy and the food is awesome.
I like Philly cheesesteaks…but these are so DRY. I don’t understand why the meat is extremely dry. I don’t like to load a ton of sauce or anything on mine. I get it with mushrooms, onions, and provolone and that should be good enough. But it’s still really dry. Maybe dip the meat or something if it’s being reheated? I don’t know. Been there at least 4 times, always the same story.The buffalo wings are good though.
Best cheesesteak in town. I love the atmosphere of this bar and I love the food. You cannot beat it for a solid Philly style cheesesteak and beer.
Love this place!. Been there twice now, the first time in 2004 during Speed Weeks, and the second time in early 2011. Love the cheese steaks. Will be back next time I’m in FLA!
