Horrible. We had a party of 10. The pizza is soggy and the sauce is nothing but crushed tomatoes from a can it tastes like. Disgusting. They couldn’t even bring my husband his seltzer water. Refilled his drink one time the whole time. With regular water. I didn’t even eat it was so bad. I will never be back.
From great to horrible. I started coming in when they first opened and the pizza was amazing. I recently came in I waited almost an hour for garlic knots and a slice of pizza. The garlic knots where do hard and tasteless I just didn’t eat them. The slice of pizza was mushroom and pepperoni the mushrooms where thrown on top uncooked cold after the pizza was cooked. I had to scrap the mushrooms off and not eat them. It was evident that I did not like any of my food I did not even get asked if I liked my food or if there was anything wrong they just gave me the bill and walked away. I am extremely disappointed I do not think I will come back I think something needs to definitely be done I have never made a review on a restaurant but I literally search for an ap just to make this review.
Strike 3 – You’re Out!. I have never written one of these reviews before, but felt compelled to do so in hopes that Gabbie’s will read this. I WAS as semi-regular of Gabbie’s. When they first opened in the Pavaillion in Port Orange, the service was great and the food was delicious and portions were huge. As time went on I noticed that the portions and quality of the food had diminished. I am always willing to give someone a chance, but I have had less than favorable experieinces the past three times I have visited there and I am finished (which is sad, as it is so convenient). The final straw on the last two visits was due to being told that our food was delayed (40 minutes to cook one pizza, and if that was extra cheese, I’d hate to see how light your regular cheese pie has gotten) because there was a large take-out order that was placed. Excuse me? I’m sitting here in your restaurant and am a paying customer as well. You need to take care of your in-house guests or their unpleasant experiences will end up in places like this where comments can be shared publicly. I did voice my concerns to our waiter, but there was no visit from managment to offer an apology and a promise of being better next time. With a lack of concern from managment, you will not last much longer. Please, listen to the negative comments on this site (there are some valuable bits of constructive criticism here) and make some changes for the better. I would love to come back again some day and experience some great food and service like it was when you first opened.
I order from Gabbie’s all a lot. This is the first time that I’ve been very irritated/disappointed with the service. I told the person that took my order that I would be paying with cash. However, when the delivery driver showed up he did not have any change. I either had to call and pay with a card, give the driver a $20 tip, or wait while the driver went back to the store to get change. This is completely ridiculous! Extremely bad customer service. I ended up paying with a card, but still very annoyed that I had to do so. The driver only got a $2 tip since that’s all the smaller bills that I had. All in all a truly bad experience!
Great place, its amazing how such a small place and staff handles so much business. If you plan on going in on a friday night don’t be surprised if there’s a line out the door! But know the food is always worth the wait, and there’s always a good show with the professional cooks out in the dining room right in front of you. And don’t forget, its not just delicious hand tossed pizza but also a full gourmet Italian dinner menu. Service is always so helpful and friendly, the staffs fun loving interaction in front of the customers makes you feel like everyone’s family, yourself included. Great fun place for a quick bite or a delicious full course meal.
Great pizza, great service, excellent price!
As a native New Yorker and self proclaimed pizza expert, I am always in search of a great slice of pizza, well look no further Gabbie’s is not only the best in the area but some of the best I’ve ever had. Not only is their pizza off the charts but the rest of their menu is second to none. The service is excellent, the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and part of the family. Their prices are reasonable, the food is delicious and the service is spot on, all you can ask for in a dining experience. Thanks to Gabbie and her amazing staff.
