Great! Great prompt service, clean restaurant, great food. My ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the sides tasted freshly prepared. Our waiter was quick with the refills and prompt with his service. Expect to spend 30 for a steak, but it’s worth it.
Dinner before movie. My friend and I had a delicious light meal before an early movie at Stonewood in Port Orange recently. From hostess to waiter, the staff were friendly and efficient. The decor in wood and stone with comfy booths was warm and inviting. My friend was disappointed that the restaurant no longer offered the light meals we had planned to order as our time was short. However, she ordered a chicken and feta flatbread appetizer and declared it delicious. I ordered a steak salad and was equally happy. My large plate was lined on one side with perfectly cooked medium rare steak (as ordered) and the other with portobello mushrooms slices. It was topped with roasted red peppers, blue cheese and candied walnuts. A wonderful combination. Ranch dressing (which I requested) was served on the side and was a perfect compliment to one of the best salads I’ve ever eaten. A basket of what tasted like homemade rolls went perfectly with the salad. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience and I will definitely go back and also recommend this restaurant to friends.
Overall, it was very good. Their 12 oz. Steak is very good. Very consistent with the food. The pretzel bread is amazing and the bruschetta for an appetizer is also outdtanding. I would give it a 4.3 out of 5 stars
I always enjoy Eatting here when I want a nice romantic night. Haven’t had anything I haven’t liked yet 🙂
Wish I would have read the reviews here first!. We choose this place to take our whole family out to dinner for a very personal matter. There was 20 of us, I called over a week ahead of time and made reservations. We had our drinks, then appetizers and as they were serving our dinner plates a waiter dumped a whole tray on our daughter, my wife’s Coach Purse or iPhones sunglasses and IPad. I choose to keep my composure and i wanted to wait till our dinner was over and our guests left to address the situation till I saw another waiter walk by laughing. We were trying to celebrate the life of a passed family member, unfortunately now this will be remembered as the whole tray spilled on our daughter, ruined Coach Purse etc and laughing waiters at our expense day….
I’m from Ormond Beach and a few years ago I used to go to the Stonewood up there almost once a month and it was really good. We visited the one in PO last night and ware really disappointed. I used to get the ahi tuna platter and really loved it so I tried it again. Besides getting a shocking $31.00 bill for it, I had an upset stomach the next am. My husband ordered the rib eye which he said was good but with it he got a pathetic little dollop of mashed potatoes and about 3 pieces of asparagus which he had to pay extra for. It used to be good but maybe they’re relying a little too much on their old reputation. I won’t go again.
Just Ok. Went for dinner last night was not overly impressed. The service was very very good, but the servings were a bit on the small side. Steak was done to my liking but I feel a lttle over priced. Will not be in a hurry to return.
