I’ve been here several times, with at best a mediocre opinion of them. The sushi quality is good, but the flavors of the various rolls varies from great to almost disgusting. Some of the combinations they make are just not meant to be.The hibachi food quality is good, but getting seated is an absolute nightmare. First reservations are only allowed for parties of at least 6, despite tables having space for 8-10. If you try to get seated during normal dinner hours, expect to be waiting for at least an hour. This time we had an especially unpleasant experience. Half of our party arrived early to get us on the list, and was given a wait time of twenty minutes. When the rest arrived half an hour later, we told it wpuld be another 15 minutes. An after the first group arrived, we inquired as to why parties that arrived after us were already being seated while we were still waiting. The explanation we were given is that our table was leaking, so we were going to be seated on the next available table, rather than being switched to a ready table. To make things, we were never informed about the issue with the table until we were already complaining for several minutes. The hostess was also very rude during this time, and even said it wasn’t their problem to inform us about the seating issue. The manager did confront the hostess after all of this and told her to watch her attitude, but that only does so much when he didn’t actually apologize to us for the unpleasant experience.Honestly, you are better off taking the extra drive tp Takaya in Ormond. I know we’ll never be returning.

The Mizu-Shiru was excellent, perhaps the best I have tasted in years. Edamame was good. The menu offers Filet Mignon Teriyaki and NY Strip Teriyaki, I ordered the NY Strip and when served was surprised. It can uncut not sliced. Ok it was fun cutting this steak using a supplied steak knife but no fork to hold it down. Kinda of funny seeing this Gaijin trying to use a steak knife holding the the steak with a pair of chopsticks (Hashi) damned funny picture. Did not like that. Sake was greatGreen tea was served with a tea bagService was vey good. Sever was from China. Restaurant is owned by a Chinese family though the Chefs are Japanese Sake was good. I know it was said but thought to repeat itAgain, this is a American taste focused restaurant. Teriyaki sauce was bland and dish was covered with Broccoli and a large carrot. They also have Hibachi table with a noise level reaching the sounds a space shuttle makes during lift off. Noisy. A nice place for bland gaijin taste buds. Did I mention the sake is great
