Wow, what a great meal. Best Sea Bass I have ever eaten. My wife and I recommend this restaurant without any reservation. You will enjoy a great meal. Awsome Sushi. Ive been going here for a while now and its so good for being that its a small little sushi place in of all place Punta Gorda. I have been eating sushi since I was 5 and this place is great. The owner and other people working there are super nice and always welcoming you when you walk in. They always remember you if your a regular because the place is just a small little place that doesn’t actually seat many people but that makes it much better. Would suggest going here to anyone who loves sushi as much as I do.

Why is this place so good?. As we enjoyed the suchi and sahimi at Amimoto, we asked owner Tony Manabe where he got his outstanding fish. He explained that when he came to Punta Gorda, he managed to convince a superior seafood supplier to bring fish to him. That’s the simple reason that Amimoto’s fish tastes so much better than other Japanese restaurants near here.How’s the service? Sweet, helpful and generally efficient. These are really nice people. Please be good to them. They will repay you with outstanding food and polite service. If you are used to eating Japanese food in good restaurants in most urban area of America, the prices at Amimoto will shock you. How can food this good be so cheap?Here’s a test– Ask Tony to make you a big tray of sushi and sashimi. He’ll charge you less than $40, and two people will be stuffed before they finish.Lunch is an even better bargain. But the price isn’t as important as two other considerations: This is excellent food, prepared and served by very nice people.
