Like it but refused to go back, rude service.. My husband and I love going to village fishmarket but only when Mike the bartender is there. He was on a leave of absence this past winter and on five different occasions we were treated very rudely. This is not the experience we are used to. On several occasions my husband , my sons and I went to the restaurant and enjoy the music playing down below by the stage area . Since they also offer outside seating that’s where we were so we can listen to the music. A waitress came out looking frantically and asking other patrons and waitresses if they saw us as she described what we looked like. I saw this and went up to Har and she said I thought you all took off on me and then she said to me because you had a little too much to drink. First of all I had one Michelob ultra that is all I can handle and I was not drunk and I was very insulted. A few days later I took my mother out to lunch. She has Alzheimer’s and I wanted to get her out of the house a little bit. The waitress in the dining room slammed the menu down and said we are very busy this time of year what will you have . It was clear to see that my mother was slightly confused however this waitress had no patience for either one of us. Surprisingly, she was no young girl herself . This is happened a few more times in similar situations one more time in the dining room with another waitress being rude and also out at the bar. Like I said, there is very one very nice bartender waitress who is very niceeven when Mike isn’t there , but as far as the other staff I don’t know what happened to them but we are not going back. And it’s too bad because we really enjoyed their food and atmosphere.
I LOVED THE VILLAGE FISH MARKET… I was just there the othe day and i had there fish &chips for lunch and it was awesome.. i would drive back to Punta Gorda, florida anytime to eat there…the place is awesome..and i give the place a 100%
Bad service bad food. Sat 10 minutes before anyone took our drink order and they were not busy. Fish sandwich tasted like bait.
AWESOME!. Awesome food and experience! Absolutely can not wait to go back again! We flew into Ft. Meyers / Punta Gorda just to go there!

Wonderful. Reading the mixed reviews – but 4 of us had lunch (snowbirds from Canada) service and food was fantastic! Don’t listen to negative reviews, you have to try it for yourself. Our waitress usually works in the bar, was wonderful, made our lunch even more enjoyable with her fun banter! I am trying to get their recipe for the Edamama Salad, was to die for!
Great Seafood. We come here whenever we are in Punta Gorda. Last time my wife had a lobster salad roll – LOTS of lobster – as good as we get in Maine. I had a grouper sandwich – delicious. Courteous service and nice seating on their deck. We recommend!
