Had a birthday get together yesterday there and was hands down the best seafood we have eaten all year… Huge portions ..oysters were juicy and cocktails strong…sat on the river deck and the service was excellent..not one bad thing to say …

I eat here all the time because of the pretty patio and reggae Thursdays.. Everything is fried. Nothing healthy that I can think of except grilled fish. I wish they’d change their menu every few months. Menu gets very boring. Very few of the servers can make a decent drink except Gabe. I think they actually make Mojitos. Servers are awesome and you get to know them by name.

Generally a solid choice. If you are looking for a 5-start eating establishment, then it is your fault. Remember you are in Palatka. They are far and away the best sit-down place in town. If you come via boat after a day on the river the food tastes better. Trust me! The seafood fried is always good. The steaks are good. I think it is funny reading past post that prime rib was fatty. Go look at what prime rib is. It is all fatty. The service is generally pretty good. The outside patio is nice to sit on as well. Again if you are looking for Ruth Chris, then you are in the wrong town. Great experience 95% of the time.

Dosen’t live up to reputation. After hearing about how good this restaurant from my in laws we decided to stop by. We started with water with lemon. We were brought 4 glasses of water and then we were brought 4 pieces of lemon in a side dish. We never saw any more lemon till we asked for some for our fish, when water was dropped the waitress was gone before we could politely ask for any pieces of lemon. In my desire to eat a healthy diet I was having trouble finding healthy alternatives, yes they had some salads and a few broiled/blackened fish items but that was it. ( I understand fish and seafood is thier speciality). After ordering ( no salads are offered with your entree without a substitution of your side and an up charge) the coleslaw was brought to two of our party of four and the only problem was we had no utensils. After asking four different people and a twenty min wait the silverware arrived. The slaw was bland, it tasted like cabbage with loose mayo on it. I ended up ordering blackened Salmon and my Wife ordered blackened Shrimp/Scallops. My salmon was dry, underseasoned and was what appeared to be two thin tail pieces, my Wife’s shrimp was small, looked like 31/40 count and the scallops were the smallest sea scallopers (or big bay ) I have ever seen and also underseasoned. The food was not hot and looked like it was sitting for a while. That would most likely be the reason for the dryness. I had greens as one side and tomatoes/okra with rice as the other . I recieved about a 1/4 cup of greens and the same of Tom/okra on about a table spoon of rice. Last time I shopped rice was pretty cheep and I understand cutting back on expensive protien but a tablespoon of rice? The table was never cleared of empty glasses or side dishes. We counted 19 glasses. My adviceisis, if you want under seasoned, small portions for a premium price with really bad sevice this is the place for you.
