Excellent Yellowfin Tuna Steak. I had mine seared. They also offer Ahi, but it’s not on the menu.. I’m new to Palatka and have been pleased with this restaurant. The service is wonderful and seating is comfortable, friendly and down home. The other night the Yellowfin Tuna Steak rocked my world. As with all the Southern restaurants down here, there’s not much in the way of healthy, non-fried food so this tuna steak was a refreshing menu item.
Mr.. Arrived shortly after opening time, 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 28, 2014. I’m 62, my mother is 87. We were served bad-tasting water. NO salads were available. Sweet potato fries were burned to crisps. Seafood platter was boring, bland, absolutely flavor-less. My mother said her shrimp were the same. We ate and we paid and we tipped 20%, but regret not speaking out. The food was a complete waste of nearly $50.00. Will never go back.
Frequent diners. We used to go to go to St Augustine for good seafood; no longer necessary with Musselwhites right here great food great service great people we love it!
Was ok. Service was good. My husband had the fried gator. He said it was ok, nothing special for a place that the locals rave about. My fried pickles were pretty good. Not sure if they were hand battered or frozen. Their ranch sauce is delicious. All in all pretty good, but nothing special.
Pork chops, no thicker than bacon, cooked to a leathery finish, scallops tiny overcooked overspiced. Onion rings with a coating that had no flavor. A $50 bill for two VERY unhappy diners. .
Highly recommended. I love non-pretentious small town southern restaurants that offer good food and low prices. I had tangerine marinated tuna and my wife had a couple of skewers of blackened shrimp. Both were excellent. I had two rum and cokes for four dollars each. Total cost including tip for two persons was $53.00. Service was friendly, prompt and excellent by Princess.
Love it. The best fried shrimp anywhere and all the other food is excellent also. Excellent service and friendly employees and owners. The fried onion rings are a must also.
