Food was great and service exceptional. We shared a 12 oz Steak Oscar and it was plenty of food for two. Peel and lick shrimp was fresh and very tasty. Decor is fun. We would definitely eat there again.
Seafaring Decor Bar – Restaurant. As you enter this open air bar you are met by a huge boiled crab hanging over one side of the bar and on the other side of the bar is a small whale and sail boat. The bar is huge and has a few high seat tables surrounding the bar but the bar the main attraction here. One bartender seemed arrogant and rude and walked away when I did not immediately place my order when she asked while I was trying to look over the drink menu The other bartender was very friendly The bar seating are high bamboo and padded webbing seats. The decor is seafaring with figureheads, anchors, wooden blocks and tackle and stuffed swordfish and Marlin. The bar has a fair selection of beer with numerous special cocktails and a good wine selection. The food is very good and plentiful. I got fried catfish, a salad and sweet potato fries. I got 2 huge fillets of fish, one is a meal with sides so boxed the other and the salad was a plate itself. Got a huge pile of golden yellow fries that were very sweet and salty.I recommend this bar – restaurant if for nothing else for the decor, the brew and a fairly friendly place.
Music. Again we are locals and looking for some fun on the wk ends but the music ends WAY too early!!were @ drunkin goats and they stopped their music @ 9:30 and moved over to Johnnys and they ended @10:00!! Come on!! It’s the wk end!! Again, when the music ends people LEAVE!we love the food but we also like to dance on the wk ends….
Food was good and service was awful. The Bus boy was more attentive, he even brought out our appetizer! It’s like the staff is just standing around, making jokes more than they do their jobs. Same with the hostess people. Everyone was awful but the bartender and the food. Food makes it worth it but other than the bar and the food good luck!
We had a great time. We came 2x in a week and my friends and I had a wonderful time. We sat at the bar with Leah from NJ and we laughed and laughed. She recommend almost everything on the menu and believe me we ordered it. Everything was great except we didn’t love the conch fritters. .they were ok..it was happy hour prices were so cheap especially coming from NY..great place great bartender. ..
Also I’m at the hotel down the street and the music is obnoxiously loud22 Dec, 2013Unbelievable that a restaurant in southern Florida doesn’t serve sweet tea. I then ordered a lemonade that was terrible. There were at least two statues of women with their boobs hanging out (one was almost life size and hung out from the wall over tables). The music is bad reggae versions of top 40 music. I recommend just going down the street to the drunken goats place. Same type of food but better music
Great food, great place!. I read all the reviews after I ate here, thank God. I don’t know what all these people are looking for, but I will tell you that we have had nothing but great food and great service here! It is a bit over-priced maybe – but only a little. Come on! It’s a tourist location. You can’t afford to eat out – don’t go out! We REALLY enjoyed the Oysters Rockefeller and all the fresh shell fish. Service was more than adequate. This is NOT fine dining. But as far as I am concerned, who likes all that fu-fu stuff anyway. This is great seafood for a fair price!
