So Glad We Stopped In. My husband and I drove past the restaurant during the day and the restaurant looked crowded, so we decided to go for dinner. There were actually 6 of us and everyone’s dinner looked and tasted amazing. Not your ordinary Mexican restaurant. There are unique dishes. The food is delicious, presented beautifully and the portions are large. Side note, the salsa is chunky and delish. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
With all the good reviews wanted to give this place a try. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted and seated at booth and provided menus. After looking over the menu and waiting for about 10 minutes someone came to our table to bring chips and salsa, then another 10 minutes pass and nothing, no drink order or anything so we were getting ready to get up and leave and our server arrives. So we decided to stay, as we were both really hungry anyways. We order some drinks and I ask for a Patron margarita and we get an order of queso. Our waiter prompted us for our meal order at the same time, I guess because he was so busy and that was a sign that we weren’t going to see him for awhile so we did. After another 10 minutes or so we get our drinks, we needed them by then as it had already been about 20-30mins sitting there with the chips and salsa and no drinks not even water. I got served a house margarita (which was made with the cheap tequila, I could taste it immediately and avoid it at all cost as I don’t like waking up the next day with headaches). I asked the waiter if it had Patron in it, since he made it and I guess he knew he messed up right away because he said he would fix it. Instead of a new drink he brings me a shot of patron on the side, I taste it and confirm it was the real deal but was left confused. Thirsty I just decided to add it to my existing drink and consume it anyways, worst decision as I had a bad headache the next day just like I was trying to avoid. After awhile we ask for our queso that never showed up, then our food comes after that. The food was actually pretty good, but the whole service experience was very bizarre, most of just been this waiter as the other reviews seem to be good. So just a heads up, be careful on the bait and switch if you are ordering premium margaritas.
