Great sandwiches!. I’ve only been here once so far, but it was great! I got the grilled cheese and they let you pick what cheese and bread you want which I like. The potato chips are good too and the food came out quickly. I must say though that there is very little seating both in doors and outdoors so maybe try going on an off hour. The restaurant was very clean and employees were nice. Next time I’m craving a grilled cheese, I know where to return to!
FROM START TO FINISH!!!. To begin with the outside of the building is very cool. Take the time to look at all that has been added to the outside. It adds character. Once in the door you are greeted by the owner who promply grabs your menu and directs you to the back of this quaint little house. I tend to notice things that others don’t. The hard wood floors creaking under my feet as I hurry toward my lunch. The room passed the deli area, where the magic happens, is small but very comfortable. The tables are covered with high polished stainless steel and the center of the table has a nice plant arrangement of succulents. The walls were covered with different unique sodas, craft beers (Fat tire ale is very good) On the wall across from us are jars of salsa and butters from American Spoon Salsa company. We bought two of those. Also were bags of Billy Goat Chips. Our waitress was the most polite girl, Tori I believe her name was. She was very knowledgable about everything on the menu. Informed us that changes could be made to our liking. And that any sandwich could be made into a salad. This was great for me. She also suggested that we try the special chips from The Billy Goat Chip Company. (DON’T YOU’LL BE HOOKED!!!) Our lunch came in no time at all. They were all delivered on stainless steel trays, with pickles and dressed perfectly! One of the sandwiches was made with a Portuguese bread. Amazing! This made the sandwich. The entire experience was really wonderful. And don’t even get me started on the huge chocolate chip cookies and brownies! So when you are there, we suggest, buying a loaf of cheddar or portuguese bread. A jar of American Spoon Salsa, or the pumpkin butter. You need to try the Billy Goat Chips….yummy.And just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. The only thing I would change, is music. It is such a small intimate place, that soft eclectic music or a little Billy Holiday jazz might go over big here. Kudo’s to the owners. What a gem!
Great Food-Feel Good Atmosphere. Husband and I stopped in for a bite to eat. Ordered the turkey and the cuban. The thick toasted crusty bread was to die for and the sandwiches were filled with meat and were more than enough for lunch. Excellent! Enjoyed some chips and a wonderful ginger soda with lots of bits of ginger-delish. Lots of sodas and craft beers that I can’t find anywhere else. Sally’s chocolate chip cookies can’t be beat. We love this place-good vibe when you walk in the door-we will be back!
Too Much for so little. Small sized sandwiches, nothing brag worthy at allExpensive for the amount of money you pay for each one, there’s not much of anything inside them as far as meat.They take FOREVER to make, If you order more than two hot sandwiches at at time, you better have brought another sandwich to hold you over till they make the ones you ordered !There are other places in Safetyharbor to take your money to that give better quality size sandwiches and serve you much quicker.
Awesome sandwiches and soda selection. Safety Harbor has become a foodie haven on the west side of Tampa. Try this sandwich shop asap, great, selection and they make their own breads!!
