Just like your granny’s fried chicken. I won’t lie, I’m a huge fried chicken fan. I had read some glowing reviews on Bonnie Lee’s and, well, I had to go.It’s a small, unassuming place in St. Cloud about 30 minutes outside of Orlando. Sitting in front of a small strip mall, you wouldn’t even think it was a restaurant if it weren’t for the sign….and the drive thru with cars wrapped around the building.Since the drive thru was packed, we decided to eat in. Staff was super friendly and made you feel at home. We ordered a small box of fried chicken with sweet potato tots and macaroni and cheese.Let me put it this way, if you are from the south and you had a grandmother who cooked fried chicken in an big iron skillet, you have had this chicken before. If you haven’t, well, you are missing out. This is straight up, hand cut, hand breaded chicken with that delicious flaky crust and…….well, you know where this is going….and lets not skip the sweet potato tots with the cinnamon butter dip. Yeah. The wife got real made at me when I just about devoured them all.8 pieces of chicken, 2 sides, and 2 drinks…..$20. If you love fired chicken, do yourself a favor and go to Bonnie Lee’s.

I love to eat at mom n pop places ant this is one of my favorites places. I love the gizzards but everything I have had has been great. Great food super service what more can you want.
I grew up on their fried chicken & to date, it is still the best I’ve ever had….it’s delicious & I don’t even typically care for fried chicken.
Corn Fritters!. I grew up on those corn fritters and I turned out perfect…need I say more? To achieve personal perfection, stuff yourself with the corn fritters.

Happy they are back!. I’m a vegetarian so I can tell you that their fried chicken is GREAT! because my friends and family have told me, BUT i do eat fish and I can tell you it is terrific!
Bonnie Lee’s is Open Again!. So happy to see that the original owners have reopened this restaurant! The serve the most uniquely flavored fried chicken I’ve ever had. The chicken is always moist and the breading is bursting with flavor. The wings are large and tasty as well. My favorite side dish is the rice with chicken gravy. They’re still serving corn fritters with each order and they’re yummy. The prices are very reasonable. Expect a very long wait if you go to the drive thru on a Friday or Saturday night. I’ve found it’s best to park and just walk in to order.
