Great Food. The food was great! It was a good home cooked meal and the service was spot on. 🙂
Heavy Handed Fry Job. My catfish (whole) was fried to the point of being hard and dry. Not edible. The fried oysters were good however. Bland grits, overcooked butter beans and over fried hushpuppies with the palatability of saw dust.The single strangest presentation of fried green tomatoes I’ve ever encountered.All in all, not worth a second visit (or a first for that matter).
The place was very nice, so was our waitress, but the food just sucked. My fianc got the chicken fingers ( they looked like zombie hands) and she didn’t like them at all. There was barely any chicken, just fried batter. I got the seafood sampler which was simply the worst seafood I have eaten since I moved down here. The shrimp tasted like leather, the scallops had no flavor and were burnt as was the flounder, the steamed crabs were ice cold and watery. I wouldn’t recommend this place to any family or friends!
Not a bad place, and it’s a nice change from all the fast food places. But don’t rely on the menu prices shown here. Inflation seems to have set in.
Amazing seafood. This tiny place and hometown feel is the best seafood restaurant in florida. I ordered the grilled fish and my fianc had the fried catfish. Both meals were delicious and not greasy! This is the place for seafood.
I really love catfish when it’s cooked right, and the Catfish Place is the best. I really like the place, reminds me of being in the country. Will always go there for its name The Catfish Place!
