The Thrill Is Gone. No longer the place many people loved and enjoyed. Looks like some college punks with their great ideas, ideas that didn’t fit in with the clientele, came in and thought they could make it better. Instead, they killed the place. Give it 6 months if that.
RIP Pelican Pub. Our great bar is gone, due to new owners thinking they know better than the public. It was one of the downtown drinking establishments that we always hit. Excellent jukebox, A great place to have a drink and conversation. Now it looks more like a hundred Sports bars in St Pete.We will never go there again. Dude if you wanted a Sports Bar you should have reopened Brophy’s old place down on 4th street.
