Horrible service nasty attitude manager. Went there last night, spent $50.00 for two with tip. Left very good tip for crappy service. Waited patiently to get in. Set at a round table waited for ever to be able to place a drink order. After getting drink and sitting there forever was asked to move to another table. After quite a while was able to place order it took forever, in the mean time I was so hungry I asked if we could have our bread. I received on piece of bread and two hushpuppy’s. We waited a very long time for our food. Finally after we had finished eating and left tip on table took bill to cashier’s station. A young woman was standing in front of the register pretty much ignoring us. She was going through her receipts I guess. Waited and waited finally I said can we please pay our bill, she said she couldn’t do it the waitress has to do it. I said you are kidding right this young woman is racing around. She said well would you like to speak to the manager and I said yes. The manager came over and bit my head off and said no one has time to stand around at the register, which was crazy since there was someone standing behind the register. I said we have been standing here for quite a while and all we want to do is pay our bill, and she said well no one else has complained. Well when we were sitting at out table there where a lot of people complaining about the service. All I was trying to do was pay our bill. I can’t believe the manager didn’t at least say I am so sorry for the wait, and help us out.Haven’t ever encountered a manager with an attitude like this. If you want good service, good food, go to Castaway’s on the St.Johns river in Astor. Have eaten there many times as well as Bass Champions, Castaway’s has never let us down. Very friendly atmosphere.

Great place!! Food was excellent & prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. We had the oysters for an appetizer & they were delicious–fresh! If you like grits, you’ve got to try their cheesy grits. We also had their catfish, which are prepared like little ‘fingers’. The best catfish I’ve had. Quite a drive to get there but you won’t be disappointed!!

Love this place!! The food was great, our server Tammy was friendly and made some great recommendations and the price is good. It’s a bit out there but well worth the drive! Can’t wait to go back next time we’re in the area.
