LOVE IT!. My husband and I recently purchased a lake house in Salt Springs and as a previous review stated, the Square Meal is one of about 2 places to eat. For a restaurant in a small town w/o a stop light the food is GREAT! They have a pretty large selection of food/daily specials….on most occasions it is crowded! It is a wonderful place to stop and eat if your spending the day on your motorcycle, camping, canoeing and 4 wheeling. I just wish they stayed open later than 2 pm 🙂
Decent food, decent prices. There aren’t many places to choose from in Salt Springs or the surrounding area, but this restaurant serves up a fine breakfast. We visited family in Eureka and ate here twice and the hot breakfast was good every time! I’ve been told by my aunt that it’s best to get in before 9:30-10am or the breakfast choices can dwindle down to the bottom of the barrel. I’m pretty picky about restaurants, but I’d say the Square Meal lives up to its name for breakfast–it lasted my wife and I marvelously when we did the four-hour Juniper Springs canoe run…
Should be called Square Screw! What place in their right mind charges for a glass of tap water with lemon? Rude staff when questioned! Walked out with rest of table
