Delish and fresh!. I agree with a previous reviewer in that this is not some greasy spoon. It is a very clean and charming little caf with delicious food and friendly service. They have a small section where patrons can trade used books and local art on the wall for sale. Their bathroom was EXTREMELY clean both times I visited and it rivals the decorations of some of the most expensive homes in the area. I also like that they often have the TV turned on to the news or something such as the Today Show. Kate’s Kafe also has a small brick patio in a shaded area where a small party can sit outside. I can’t wait to try that option when it cools off a bit. My only concern was that while the first time we went, we were served our food within 5 minutes and then the second time we went, we were not served our food for almost 30 minutes. As we only ordered sandwiches, I am not sure why it would take so long. There were only a couple of other patrons there at the time. However, the wait was not for nothing. The sandwich was phenomenal! So we will most certainly go again and we are hoping that the very long wait for our food was just a little hiccup for that day. I also like that you can pay at the counter and then do not have to deal with a waitress and then have an additional tip. Awesome and welcoming atmosphere with fresh, delish, and interesting food. A must visit!
French Toast: delicious! Eggs: some of best ever had: finally–over hard done right! If you’re looking for a greasy spoon, this place isn’t it! What you will find is a fabulous breakfast & lunch dining experience!

A great place for breakfast or lunch. Fresh ingredients and great recipes. This place is real find. Very pleasant people just add to the experience.
