Not so Good.. Found this restaurant via Groupon and won’t be back.We tried the Gnocchi Appetizer – which was ok. The pasta carbonara which was gloopy. Side salad – the homemade raspberry vinaigrette was good! White Pizza which supposedly had garlic (we couldn’t taste any) and just seemed to be soggy (I was left wondering if that was because all the toppings are sponges – ricotta, mushrooms and spinach). So recap. gnocchi appetizer ok. homemade raspberry vinaigrette good and rolls with oil at the start of the meal were tasty.
INCOMPITENT Ownership & Staff. Had a table of eight. Over the course of 1.5 hours and numerous requests on our order… We were told that they were busy and that our food wasn’t coming. I was handed a bill for drinks which I refused to pay. Spoke to owner/management that flat out said it was our problem because she only had one line staffed to work the kitchen. Bravo… Great way to blame paying customers for their incompetence while making complete fools of themselves in front of a full restaurant (the discussion turned heated and loud on the owners part). 1.5 hours to fire an order of frozen lobster ravioli, a few spaghetti dishes, and some children’s pizzas. I’m confident my child (younger than 5) could have thrown something together in half the time. There’s a little lake within walking steps of this establishment. Incompetent Owners should do us all a favor and walk the plank.
Jimmy from Brooklyn. The food from appetizers to desert was freshly prepared & tasted like Mamma’s kitchen. The owner is a graciest host & saw that our dinner was a memorable one. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone passing through
Everything was fresh and properly prepared. The stuffed portabella was so tasty. I ordered the special chicken Giuseppe was absolutely awesome. Great mix of sherry mushrooms artichokes over perfectly grilled chicken breasts (just the way I like them – thin). Will definately be back.
We will never eat here again. We used a Groupon and it was not even worth the price of the Groupon. The chicken with eggplant and tomato could not be cut with a knife. It had a horrible taste and gristle all the way through it. My special salmon dish which was supposed to have a creamy sauce with garlic had very little taste at all. They offered to give us a gift certificate if we would pay $20 for the meal. No way!
Horrible.
My wife and I decided to purchase a groupon for Luna Rossa when we saw it listed a few weeks ago. I could not be happier that we found this place. It is the best Italian food I have had since I lived in Boston. We have already been back to the restaurant and have had phenomenal food each and every time.
