Great food and great service! The down side is their boss/manager. I observed the place and noticed how she was not professional. She just screaming at the lovely servers to grab something while she standing there doing nothing!! It was busy too!! Also, I ordered a Steak Hibachi and my boyfriend had the unlimited sushi, then I saw my waitress gave our orders to her to put it on the computer or what not. Later on, I received shrimp instead of steak, and my bf had some messed up orders too. I noticed the table next to us didn’t receive any food, how sad. So when I finally got my steak, the lady went to our table accusing me of sharing the unlimited.. but I was only getting the shrimp sauce next to my bf’s plate. she said she was going to charge me for my hibachi and the unlimited! Probably not coming back because of the lady! she’s rude and messing up orders. When I left my table she quickly grabbed the check tray and looked how much tips I left.. I left the tips for my waitress, not her. The place has really good and affordable food and the service from the servers are great, but just be careful with the owner/manager!
I’ve been coming here for several years. After several name changes and some tweaks in their menu prices, I thought they had got everything together. Wrong. I went there today for lunch and again they changed things around. I had to write my own order down…and I don’t mean the sushi menu. After ordering the same thing I’ve gotten for years, I’m told AFTER the food comes that now they don’t have meals. You have to order all your meal in pieces, which they don’t tell you and the menu does not mention. And heaven forbid you want a fork or your check. You will be waiting even longer. Save yourself the trouble and go to Tokyo 1 on Atlantic. I also got charged $32.06 for a side of rice, two soups, two sweet teas and a watered down cucumber salad. It would have to been nice to know that the restaurant had suddenly changed to flat fee all you can eat. Yet the menu has individual prices and different portion sizes. Terrible service to boot.
I just ate here for the first time. The spicy tuna roll was horrible and the eel had a strange flavor and texture. Very disappointed.
Really good local Sushi Place. I agree with some of the comments about oung children helping out, however it is a small local family business. Service is marginal but every time I have had sushi here, it is very good quality and I crave it constantly. My two favorites are the house special roll and the pacific roll. Plus you get 2 free alcoholic drinks per order when you dine in. Not a bad deal….
Okay for one the service was bad, I sat down to be greeted by someone who looked nothing like Japanese, in fact it was the delivery guy! So me and my wife decided to stay and give it a go anyways even though the music us going crazy, however after he sat us and got our drink order, he just left for a delivery before ever bringing our drinks. That’s the last time I eat here, oh and to top it all off his shirt was not tucked in! When he came to our table we almost thought he was joking! I do not recommend eating here
Great service! Great food!. We eat here 3-4 times a month. We have tried just about everything on the menu and the sushi. We are always greeted with friendly and prompt service. The food is always perfect-even my special ordered sushi rolls!
Best Service/food in town. Have ate sushi in Jax since the early 80’s and after Chizu closed was looking for a new place.When this place opened we tried it for lunch and have been going back and also getting take-out every other week or so.We have gone in groups as big as 40 and as small as a quiet lunch for 2.I fish for a living and grew up in a foodie family so we are super picky about seafood,this place ROCKS.Service is quick and very polite and the never fail to throw in a bonus of some kind.The sushi itself is priced fairly and impeccably fresh and beautifully arranged.
