  Great food. Home cooked taste and many difficult Filipino dishes that require long preparation time. The food taste like my mom home cooked food. Friendly staff.

  Ok, yes the service is slow…but OMG the food is AWESOME! Easily the best Filipino cuisine in Jacksonville.Don’t go there if you have a plane to catch, but if you are looking for great food in a fun environment (music, a light show, a stage for live entertainment) then come to Maharlika Hall & Sports Grill.

  Aside from the wait, the food here was great. My friend and I went came here on a whim because another friend of ours had recommended it to us, and being away from our families, we were both craving Filipino food. When we first entered the restaurant we were both confused because there was a host stand but no host/ess so we didn’t know whether to seat ourselves or not. It’s definitely a seat yourself place. It was a pretty slow night and I think our waiter was brand new, because he didn’t seem like he knew what he was doing. We had to keep reminding him about our drinks and had to keep calling him over to take our order. Luckily we weren’t in any sort of time constraint. However once we got our order placed and had our drinks, we were more than satisfied by our food. I would definitely come back but hope to get a different waiter or at least hope the same one has found his footing in his job.

  A Less than Satisfying Experience. My family and I had dinner at the restaurant on Saturday, August 2, 2014. We were part of a group of approximately twenty five people in town for the weekend.The highlight of this outing was the incredibly long wait time for the food to be served. I understand we were a big group however, this was a Saturday evening at a large venue so a crowd is something the restaurant should prepare for. The bottom line is that the server took our order at 7:45 p.m. Our first order of food did not come out till 9:30 p.m.; and when all our selections were finally brought to the table the pervasive thought was we waited much to long for only average tasting food.I make a point to try independent ethnic restaurants but, after our experience I definitely would not make a special trip to patronize this establishment.

  Food is good the wait is way to long…… Me and my husband together with his two friends went here for dinner for the first time. When we got there we saw two big groups of people… The music was a bit loud for us. But it was alright then came the time we order our food. We were told that it will take a while for our order to be cook coz of the large crowd that was ahead of us. We said it’s ok for us to wait. But we never expected to wait almost 3 hours!!!!! Word of advice: tell your customer if they’re going to have a big crowd order ahead of time so you will still manage to accommodate the order of the other customers and not make them wait too damn long.

  I had a horrible experience at this restaurant last night.. I went there with my BF’s family to promote our Filipino cuisine.. To start with.. The music is too loud.. We can’t even talk and hear each other.. I understand the concept of Karaoke and disco..I myself enjoy that.. But they have to tone down their music a little bit! It was not entertaining at all.. it was so stressful!!! They cant even hear us when they were taking our orders.. And ended up not getting everything we ordered.. Not everyone got their food!.. The worse thing.. Food taste bad!!.. That was a bad Filipino experience!!! I felt very embarrased!!! There’s no way Im coming back to this place.. Totally not a recommended place to promote Filipino food and entertainment…
