Good. From the outstanding management and customer service down to the quality of the food this place is a winner. Nice clean establishment and apparently everything is made in house and you can taste that. People Demanding Quality, Pretty Damn Quick, Pappa Does Qualludes, whatever the name means, its a tasty destination that you should test out.
Overpriced. The menu is small, the fries are a pile of grease, the lettuce on sandwich was white, tables too close together to accommodate wheelchairs, high chairs or people with walkers .
Not as good as you think it should be is the only way I can describe it. I had high hopes for this place. The idea of the restaurant is great but it’s falls way short of expectations in food quality and taste. The buffalo chicken sandwich left a lot to be desired in quality and taste. The salad was just plain iceberg nothing special at all, If your in the mood for chicken save the trip and go to Chickfila instead.
Very Good. I totally disagree with the negative comments about this PDQ. Some of the comments were that the size of the chicken pieces were inconsistent at each visit. That’s because the chicken is FRESH and NOT pressed into preformed nugget shapes like most fast food joints. Our meals were fast, hot, fresh and delish. The seasoning and breading was very much like homemade. We had honey mustard and creamy garlic sauces, both good. The service is GREAT.
They sell CHEERWINE!!. Okay, if you have ever lived in the NC/VA/TN areas, you probably already know how epic Cheerwine is. I was soooooo incredibly disappointed to leave Virginia for Mayport for no reason other than I heart cheerwine! My husband discovered this place before I did. When he took me there I almost passed out when I saw the huge display of Cheerwine. It’s overpriced, but that’s fine… because it’s cheerwine!Okay, lol, about the food.. My husband and I both ordered chicken sandwiches. They were really good for fast food sandwiches. The staff was really great and engaging (had a rather long conversation with a girl about our mutual hatred for books being turned into movies). The fries are not typical fast food fries. They’re very thin and not overly crispy. I still thought they were pretty good especially after i added vinegar (Sidenote: I’ve never met a fry I didn’t love though.. I love fries.. i love every kind of fry.. i want to eat all of them, but I can’t eat every fry). All in all, it was a great experience and my husband and I will be returning frequently.
I tried PDQ twice. I went when they first opened and I thought I would give them another chance as it was not a positive experience. It was the same 2 weeks later. I went through the drive through both times. Slow and disorganized. Both times I ordered the chicken sandwich and fries. The sandwich was dry. The fries, both times, were not hot or at all crispy! Here is my final thought! There are several casual chicken places in this area including Chick Filet, Bojangles and Zaxbys. All are much better!
Buffalo chicken tender sandwich is excellent. Thanksgiving turkey sandwich also very good and a healthier option. Came first day they opened and it was a little crazy, glad we went back. Like the variety of sauces and flavors, nice break from Chick-fil-a
