Sooooooooo GOOD!! :D. It doesn’t take much to please me. I love all oriental food! For me to dislike something is rare, but this thai place is extra delicious!! The noodles and rice comes in big portions so that you can be filled up twice; you can actually take half home for later. When you’re a college student, that is good ay?! hah Its a great place to bring a friend to eat if you want to try something different and surprising good. I went there quite a lot…almost tried everything from pad thai, curries, fried rices, soups…you cant go wrong with anything you pick. I grew up with vietnamese food, but now i have a new favorite…thai food. Yum Yum!!
So-so. Went on recommendation from a friend. Food was OK; soups could be made with a little more care from the chef (huge chunks of veggies instead of smaller cut pieces – hard to eat). Squid was kind of hard with an off taste. Ordered appetizer and soup, then later entrees. Soup came, then appetizers and dinner at the same time. Menu has six beers, including two Thai (Singha and Change). However the only beers they actually had were two Japanese beers. Waitress said there is a supply issue. However you can drive up the street to ABC and pick up Thai beer. It was a Thursday night about 7:00, and only about 2 or 3 tables in use. This has the overall feel of a place that is getting ready to close. No excuse for the bring the dinner and apps at the same time, and not having beer that’s on the menu. Food is adequate, but there are better Thai places nearby. Overall, just OK.
Great Food!. My boyfriend and I recently tried this place at random, and we are glad that we did! The food is delicious, service was amazing, and the prices were pretty good. The portions were great for the price and the atmosphere is a lot better than most restaurants we’ve been to. Definitely going to be making our way back here. 🙂
THIS IS THE THAI FOOD HEIRARCHY. This is my favorite thai place in Jacksonville. I have rated all the thai places and I would say this would be my highest rated. Huge portions, an amazing atmosphere, a great cook and easy going family oriented service. They really do care about your experience and love when new people come in. Its by far one of the best authentic Thai restaurant’s its a must go to for any thai food enthusiast the best pad kee mao in Jacksonville. cheap and best hours nuff said
THE BEST THAI FOOD IN JAX! Been coming here since 2010 and it’s still the best. The portions are big and the customer service is superb. The wait staff is always walking around and asking everyone if they’re food and service is ok. I also love the relaxed atmosphere as well. The chicken pad thai and the shrimp rolls are my favorite dishes. If you’re looking for authentic thai food THIS IS THE PLACE!
I’ve been to Thailand a few times, and all I can say is, the food they serve is by far the most authentic I’ve tasted in Jax. The service was also great, which just complements my stay every time I eat there. I recommend Thai Orchid to all my friends, and they love it too.
