Best sushi I’ve had in the Lake Mary/Sanford area!
Bad. Where to start? The service was really slow even though there were only three tables occupied. To the server’s credit, there were a lot of take out orders which seemed to take priority over dine in orders. The miso soup was bland and watery, without any real semblance of miso at all. The nigiri was very sloppy with the rice falling apart as soon as it was picked up. The rolls were the same….rice falling apart, loosely rolled, just sloppy. The only thing consistent with higher end sushi was the price. Won’t be back.
My husband and I had lunch here. He doesn’t like sushi but we were both able to find something. Service was great, sake was great and food was great!
Damn good.. 6 of us shared 8rolls plus . each and every one delicious. fresh. lots of flavor. excellent. clean. friendly. will definitely return.
Lunch Special. I try to go to Maru’s at least once a week, the sushi is amazing and the lunch special is $9.00 for a soup, salad, and one roll, it’s a great deal. 5 stars for the food. 1 star for the service though! The service is extremely slow, it takes a full hour to get through lunch which is becoming a problem trying to get back to the office. Also, when I complained about the service nothing was done by the owners to rectify it or to make me happier. I don’t think I’ve seen a server so much as smile. It’s not that warm and fuzzy place so I never go for dinner for that reason. However, they have great sushi, it’s very clean and for lunch you can’t beat it. They do have happy hour specials for those wanting to go for dinner. Overall I would recommend it for lunch if you have the time to spare.
Omg. This place is amazing. I have had sushi everywhere and this place takes the cake!!!! Amura sucks ass no matter what but this place is phenominal. We sat at the sushi bar and the sushi maker was spook nice and knowledgeable. It was the best experience I have ever had at a suchi bar. We had the spicy tuna and Heatheow roll. They were both amazing but the Heatheow roll was the best roll I have ever had in my life. Also had Bolgogi as an appetizer and it was also the Beez Kneez. Unbelievable.
My husband and I had the most dissappointing meal here. The restaurant had happy hour drinks and sushi rolls which we ordered. When the bill came we were charged full price. I asked if they could make rolls without rice, the waitress said yes. When my food arrive it had rice. I didn’t except it, and was told the waitress was mistaken. I ordered a different dish, and they charged me for the role I didn’t except plus the new dish. There reasoning was the waitress was mistaken, why should the customer pay for the waitresses mistake. My husband and I will never come back.
