Must Visit!. Geppetto’s is definitely a must stop and the only thing I wish is that we had one in OHIO! There baked goods are so amazing that it is hard not to take one of everything and in fact we ended up with boxes of goodies for our trip home and everything was great 🙂 The service was excellent and everyone is super friendly. I would recommend if you are in the area that you make time to check this place out… its a little small and sometimes a little crowded but absolutely worth the wait.
Only prepared food. Wanted a sandwich but they were all prepared in advance. I don’t eat condiments and they all had them on it. Also went to the Ice Cream place connected and the same old sandwiches were in the fridge ready to get served up for following day. Day old sandwiches? There was a leaky fridge with dirty towels on the floor soaking up the water. Gross! If this acceptable to them, what else do they consider acceptable. Giving a thumbs down might be too much being as though I didn’t actually eat there. I was just grossed out. And went to the East End Deli across the Street which was great.
GREAT FIND!!. My husband and I happened upon this little gem on the way to Sanibel beach. We ordered a turkey and provalone sandwich to split, and the pasta salad. Not only did they split the sandwich for us, when we unwrapped the wonderfully presented box of food, we each had a surprise….a freshly baked cookie! The sandwich could not have been fresher, the salad was perfection, and the cookies divine! I never write reviews, but this place is awesome, and we highly recommend it. Staff was very friendly, and the place was pristine . Prices are more than reasonable. Keep up the great work Geppetto’s, we will be back!
Ice Cream Sundaes – We made a special trip to get an ice cream delight and were not disappointed. We were vacationing at the Pink Shell and saw an ad for ice cream. We were going to visit Sanibel and this gave us the opportunity to get our sundaes there. It was very nice sitting outside and eating a HUGE ice cream delight. We are from Virginia and were celebrating our 47th Wedding Anniversary.
This place is awesome and you should seek it out! They have incredible pastries and other breakfast items and they will make you almost anything for lunch. All you have to do is ask. We got an assortment of items and split them and everything was good. We struggled to pick a favorite! Friendly owner and impeccable service! Don’t miss this spot for carry out lunch or breakfast!!!
Pleasantly surprised!. This is mainly a take out place and we picked up a couple sandwiches here to take on a boat trip. They don’t have an actual menu but lots of bread and muffins on display with various cheeses, spreads, etc. The lady behind the counter described some of the sandwiches that were available. I chose the chicken salad with dried cranberries and nuts on a croissant and my husband had the Italian with grilled veggies on a baguette. When we unpacked them on the boat they were wrapped so nicely and were both fresh and delicious. You can tell they really take pride in what they serve. They also had fresh quiches and stuffed croissants that looked yummy. We will be going back.
