Always worth the wait! We come here every trip for our last breakfast before heading home. I especially love the fried potatoes. Also nice that they have REL maple syrup available.
Best kept secret on the island! The specials are creative and just plain good. Eggs are fluffy and cooked to perfection without being funny or dry. Absolutely my favorite breakfast in all of Florida!
A hidden gem. Comfortable, homestyle food including homemade strawberry preserves. A must-try for breakfast. Neat atmosphere filled with lighthouse pictures.
Great breakfast. The lighthouse special omelet is one of my favorites and their homemade jam is delicious. The service is great and the people are friendly. I suggest getting there before 8:30AM to avoid a wait.
Fairly good. The food is good but one has to be careful if lactose intolerant…all their omelettes have milk added and their menu does not forewarn as it should. Breakfasts options are great. Lunch options are fair to good, not great. Orange and grapefruit juice carafes are fabulous but pricey; one could buy 2 gallons of either for what they charge–drink your juice in your condo and skip the expense. Coffee is ok. Their runny strawberry jam is homemade and quite sugary, nice if used as a syrup for pancakes, less attractive on toast. Requests to make bacon or sausage very well done are usually ignored and have to be sent back. Service varies a lot. Waitresses deliver the food and largely then ignore the table; they commonly ignore a hand raised for assistance but the busboys are willing to help. Of the last 10 times we have been their in the last 5 years or so, service was good-acceptable only 3-4 times. The owner is the cashier. It appears that some of the meal guests are his friends and those folks seem always to get great service. The no-name visitors seem to get noticeably less attention. The decor is great, old fashioned with mostly lighthouses on the walls, very interesting. The ambiance of being an old fashioned style, hole in the wall restaurant is charming.
Breakfast only. But you’dprobably be happier at Dennys or Ihop17 Mar, 2015Breakfast only. But you’dprobably be happier at Dennys or Ihop
Somewhat overpriced for breakfast. Two people for breakfast $30 not worth it. Frenchtoast was good traditional breakfast of bacon and eggs was mediocre at best.
