Disappointing Meal. Had a disappointing meal – Grilled Hanger Steak was tough as shoe leather. French fries were substituted for Truffle Whipped Potatoes. The meal came with uninspired sauted spinach. Overall, a bad combination of food components and food quality. Have had better on previous visit. Chef should take item (the only beef item on the menu) off the menu and put back the grilled beef tenderloin.
Wow. Best meal of the trip! However unknowing visitors beware. EVERYTHING IS SUPER SALTY! There is no salt on the table which is normally a turnoff for me and my family because we salt the bag of pretzels when we open it at home. But here it was not an issue. I got a salty margarita. The oil that was served with te bread had sea salt on the bottom of the dish. The sided and main courses were loaded with salt. But we love that! If you like bland food or are worried about heart failure be prepared.
Outstanding. Attentive service. Very well prepared courses. Interesting courses. Quiet enough to have a conversation. Make the reservation. You’ll be glad you did.
Wasn’t open for lunch on Sunday, President’s weekend, so sadly didn’t get to eat here
This was our second visit to this charming foodie hideaway in Sanibel Island. We enjoyed a lovely, unrushed dinner served by attentive staff, who were all keenly informative about every imaginable detail concerning the food, menu, etc. The high points included a lovely cheese plate, carefully curated and served with truffled honey and an earthy bread, and a key lime parfait comprised of pana cotta, lime curd and an airy lime mousse with a homemade graham cracker cookie. We can’t waitto return for out third visit.
Nothing to write home about. Presentation of food is nice but I’ve had better tasting. Our waiter was attentive. Sat outside on porch. For the price I think you can do better on Sanibel Island
Great place for dinner. My wife and had dinner here Feb 22 and was exceptional. Beef tartar was a surprise and excel. My wife had beet salad and loved it. Scallops and the fish soup outstanding. Service was professional and friendly
