We had high hopes for this place. The decor is fun, live music, island vibe…and our apps were great! Raw oysters and conch fritters. But our waiter seemed a little stoned and 3/4 of our entrees were disappointing. My paella and my husband’s gumbo were almost identical, which is flat out wrong. I didn’t expect seriously authentic paella, but kielbasa for the sausage? Not a whiff of saffron, hardly any rice and it was drowned in butter and oil. Did I mention salty? The waiter never asked how we liked our food. My daughter loved her taco trio, however. I will say that everyone’s fish was fresh and delicious. Perhaps they should simplify their menu and eliminate dishes they can’t handle.
Awesome experience and an extremely expansive (not expensive) menu. Our first stop on Sanibel and if we did not want to try a lot of different places, we would have gone back!
Great place for breakfast on the island! Large outdoor seating that’s dog friendly. Great food served by a friendly staff. Very large menu sure to please everyone.
Food is terrible here. I keep trying thinking it will be better. Given all the hype, color & interesting stuff on the menu you would think they could deliver. Went back for 3rd year in a row. Still terrible meals. The one area they do well is breakfast. Stick with that & you will be ok.
Nice easy going vibe just like Sanibel. Very generous portions and decent prices. Large menu with something for everyone. I tried the paella, good stuff.
Went here for dinner with my boyfriend while vacationing in Sanibel. Very small restaurant with a funky, homey feeling inside. I ordered the coconut crusted flounder meal with sweet potato fries and cucumber salad, and we split a bowl of wild berry summer bisque. The bisque and the flounder were both excellent, but the fries came out cold and soggy, and the cucumber salad had a really strong flavor, but not in a good way. Our waiter was pretty scarce for the duration of our visit, but he was friendly whenever he did stop by the table. Overall, the food and the experience was decent, but we definitely had better meals elsewhere on the island.
Stopped for an early dinner and missed the wait times which was good. Place is always packed. We ordered crab stuffed shrimp and the ny strip steak. Green beans and smashed potatoes made the meal. There is so much on the menu it would be hard to not please everyone in your group. Service was good and atmosphere is fun. Overall good meal
