Wish I could have tasted the food tonight but when I pulled up at 7:32 and proceeded to walk in the door, myself, along with my family, and another family noticed how the staff begin rolling their eyes indicating that us spending our money in their establishment was not as important as them closing on time… I didn’t realize that they closed at 8:00 so it was not intentional. We were recommend by someone and came over immediately after they told us about how good the food was….Needless to say, due to the unprofessional behavior of the staff we didn’t try the food and probably will not go back and try again…..I will not patron a business that does not want me to use their services.
Tried this restaurant once. We were the first ones in the door when they opened. Took them about half an hour to come take our order, even our drink order. Only had a waitress come then and to deliver our food, nobody refilled water or anything. I had to hunt down someone to give us the check, and even then they barely would, because it had to be our waitress, and nobody was actually our waitress, they all just thought someone else was, or so the one person who barely took our order said. The food was good, but the lack of service really ruined it. We definitely aren’t going there again.
Very simple setup, but the food is great. I’ll break down what we had and give each a score to 5 stars. We had a crab claw app and it was a 4.5/5. A little expensive for an appetizer. They give you free hush puppies and I give them 4.5/5. Wife had blackened Mahi Mahi (Fish of the day) and she gave it a 4/5. Her sides were fried green tomatoes 4.5/5 and sweet potato fries 10/5 (yes 10/5, absolutely amazing).I had the shrimp poboy, 4.5/5 and the gouda grits 4.5/5. I HIGHLY recommend going. The only criticism is that they don’t have a desert menu and they need to work on that.
We went for the first time last Friday and went back again this Friday and the food was good both times. I had catfish, my husband had shrimp, my sons had a hamburger and pulled pork sandwich. We all enjoyed our food. My favorite is side was the fried green tomatoes. I will definitely go back again. Oh yeah the hush puppies are really good.
Finally got around to giving this place a try. Stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday. There were 3 wait staff, and not all that busy, but still had several minutes wait before getting any service. I decided on the stuffed seafood poboy and my wife had the fried oysters and crawfish. The oysters and crawfish were very good, but the poboy was pretty bland with no sauce, lettuce or tomato. Overall the food is just OK, but nothing special. We will probably give it another try but if it is not better it will probably be our last. I was really hoping this place would be better as we really need a good seafood place in Milton.
Good Friday Dinner. Food was great, from fresh mullet, perfect hush puppies, tasty coleslaw and loaded potato. Waitress was very friendly but we waited over an hour from slaw to dinner plate being served. The food was really good but they need some organization.
Great New Local Spot!. My wife and I ate there for lunch yesterday. The shrimp were fantastic, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Gouda cheese grits were creamy and delicious. We’re definitely going back!
