Well… My girlfriend and I was visiting the area and saw the location as we passed by; so we made a U-Turn and went back. Walked in and the hostess said the kitchen was closed even thought we saw the hours of operation was until 9 pm on a Friday night we stated that we just wanted to get a drink at the bar, she said OK. Walked up to the bar and a staff member behind the bar stated LOUDLY that they were closed! I stated the hostess stated the kitchen was closed but we only was stopping to have a quick drink. He stated again LOUDLY as he made the signs with both his hands as cutting his throat; WE ARE CLOSED! I thought this was kind of rude so I told my girlfriend that let’s just go and as we walk out the door I see the hostess setting a party of 6-8 people with menus at a table… Still 8:45pm… This place was not very inviting and staff was rude! As soon as we left I called the restaurant to talk with a manager and well phone rang and rang then went to voicemail! I left a message stating how we were treated and what we saw asking a manager to call us back but yet I was waiting to write this review to see if someone would call but a week later and yet still have not heard from anyone! Not sure why the owner would allow these business practices especially on a Friday Night! Maybe the hours should allow to at least 10 on a Friday/Saturday night, most other restaurants would stay open til 11pm on those nights! Closing at 9pm; OK but when patrons come in at 8:45 and refused service, rudely at that doesn’t help for return business!Thank you management for not calling us back! We will never visit your establishment again; while we are in your area again!

Went there wanting fried oysters. What I got was a handful of fried wads of gum, tasteless coleslaw, a pile of fries and 2 marble size hush puppies. My wife wanted fish and cheese grits and coleslaw. Her fried Mahi was decent, but respectable southern restaurant serves instant grits, it was a bowl of yellow grout. Tasteless coleslaw, tartar sauce was mayo with a fleck or two of relish here and there. For a bill of $45 we won’t be back.

We arrived at Dave’s there were 4 of us including a 3 year old. We bellied up to the bar and had an amazing meal. The oysters were OH SO GOOD…shucked right in front of you. Our Granddaughter gave the Mac N Cheese a 10!!!!! We got the grouper po boys and they were awesome. This is also where I found my new favorite beverage Lime a ritas…lol. I highly recommend you give them a try!

New and clean open-concept restaurant that is low key, a little hard to find, and a swell spot for oysters.Local flavor. Not too shabby.

For $78 I we could have gone to Bonefish Grill. Beer was reasonable. Raw oysters were large and delicious. Cheese grits were bland; no garlic or salt at all. Fried shrimp had grit and was no better than Captain D’s. Fried oysters–my favorite fried seafood–was a huge disappointment. Hush puppies were just okay. Mahi mahi just was okay. The wife’s baked oysters had a lot of grit. Even though we told two wait staff members about the grit, they did nothing to correct the situation. They weren’t even that good. Nothing but bacon flavor in the entire baked oyster dish (I like bacon, but I’d like to taste the oysters, too). The kitchen staff need to learn how to shuck oysters from the bartenders. That place is always crowded, so we decided to try it out. We won’t be back. Over-priced, bad bar food. For the same amount of money, more or less, we could have gone to Bonefish Grill and had bang-bang shrimp, ahi tuna, and a great entree each.

Wrong restaurant. I didn’t like this place, but High Tide was delicious!11 Apr, 2015Delicious. Steamed shrimp was the best I had on my vacation. Raw oysters. Loved the staff- very friendly. I will be back next time I am in town.

Beautiful outside, not so much inside. The beautiful architecture of the new Dave’s Oyster House with cool parking lot lighting and big trees doesn’t prepare you for the overly lit, incredibly noisy, high school cafeteria dining room. The Oysters were good but served on a plastic cafeteria tray Instead of on ice. For a date night it was a bust. For any night it’s a No Thank You. I want good food but I also want to eat in a restaurant that offers a pleasant experience. This isn’t it.
