We went on a Monday evening about 7pm. Not crowded. The server seemed distracted, or overwhelmed. The appetizers gator (overcooked).and coconut shrimp (cold & overcooked) the salads house and limeXcilantro ceasar were okay… the steaks were cooked to order but bland. The service was slow and unresponsive. The bloody mary was awesome! The bartender/manager was lovely!
Traveler says. Their service is really good, I love the Filet and the Prime Rib. I am not big on Bison so I have never had that. The Ceasar Salad is good as well. I stay at this Holiday Inn when I am in town and never had a bad meal picking the above mentioned entrees.
Vegqueen. The food and service here are fantastic. We eat here often. Management and staff are friendly and helpful. Bison burgers and prime rib are our favorites. Save room for the bread pudding…mmmmmm.
Bison Burger. AMAZING!15 May, 2011I was very pleasantly surprised by my visit to Alamo. First, the interior was very cozy amd nicely decorated. The manager came over and recommended a few menu items, all of which we ended up ordering. The food was beyond delicious. I enjoyed the bison burger! Of course, I was hesitant at first amd tempted to order a regular hamburger. The bun, cheese, and meat melted in my mouth. I recommend this meal to everyone! The margaritas and alligator bites were a great start, as well. I will continue to come back for the atmosphere, service and delicious food! Don’t let it turn you away because it’s in a hotel. It’s reasonably priced and worth a vist anytime of day.
Don’t LAUGH..really fellas. Hey, I was surprised too..it’s just off the interstate in a Holiday Inn…( and nice too)…the building is in the settting of Lakewood Ranch community…The service was the eye catcher for me, and guys, the steaks were very good (not ‘dynamite), the setting was nice, but not overstated..Really, I was surprised….but check out a little place next door in an upscale little suburban strip, called The Lucky Pelican for some of the best seafood around…really. it’s in walking distance….maybe a block…ENJOY !
