From succulent Oxtail Stew to mouthwatering patties. This place is a hidden jem and truly that with the delightful, charming and generous Ms. Audrey – she is the owner and provides you with incredible hospitality and food! The oxtail stew is my absolute favorite, succulent and super flavorful served with red beans and rice and crunchy refreshing cabbage, the beef patties have the right spice and the dough is spot on. My mom’s favorite are the goat curry and the brown stew fish! Oh and every entree is also served with plantains that have caramelization on the outside and luscious creaminess inside. Just go there and see for yourself. Tiny place that is impeccably clean. Don’t drink all that tantalizing D n G Ginger Beer, save it for me!

Might be good. Audreys is a small place hidden back behind some buildings off of Ashton Rd just east of McIntoch Rd. There is a green and yellow sign by the road, pull in and drive to the back between the buildings. It was my first visit and I assumed this was a take-out place. To my surprise they also have a few tables.I was not too impressed with the food, although I know little about Jamaican food. I had something called the Brown Stew, seasoned chicken with rice, plantains, and some cabbage. The chicken was tender and tasted good but didnt have any kick. There was quite a bit of brown rice with beans. I did not notice any brown sauce, maybe there was a missing container. We also tried a Chicken Pattie, dissecting it revealed very little chicken inside. I probably should have gone with the jerk chicken.Maybe better than their limited lunch menu, they also sell Rum Cakes. If you are missing the island food, stop in for lunch and pick up a rum cake for later. Just because I didnt appreciate the food does not mean it is not good.
