Fall off the bone ribs. Great BBQ sauce. Love this place. No fried foods. My mouth is watering as I write this. You can order a 1/2 rack (slab) of ribs as a dinner and get 2 sides, with pita bread. Great food. Just not a fan of the corn on the cob. Sits in the steamer too long. The rest of the sides I’ve had have been great.

Not very good. I stopped in today for lunch. Basils has been at this location for years and years and I know I have been there before but it had been a long time ago. It will probably be awhile before I return again. I had checked the menu online and had decided the Ribs & Chicken Combo would be an excellent dish to try, and also a way to get a lot of food. I had not decided on the sides so I asked the person taking my order the most popular. She told me she likes the mashed potatoes and veggies, so thats what I picked. The best item was the chicken, it was a little dry but was a good piece of chicken. The ribs were fall off the bone. So far as I know there was no option on sauce and the one that came on the ribs wasnt particularly good. If you are looking for ribs go find a BBQ place. There was nothing positive about the veggies and the mashed potatoes were almost soupy. I did go in expecting to be pleasantly surprised and ended up somewhat disappointed with the food. They cook the chicken on these big grills yet my food was barely warm.They did a decent business while I was there, the place has plenty of seating and was clean, and they have a couple of TVs. Basils is located on the SW corner of Bee Ridge Rd and McIntoch Rd.
Awful. Mac n cheese was gross. Cold and watery. Worse than cafeteria style food.
Who’d a thunk this place was so good? It’s kind if stuck on the end if a strip mall so you can easily just drive by but tyou need to cgeck out the food. The chicken is moist and so flavorful! The ribs are succulent. I really, really like the gyros and It is a struggle for me to not stop in ever time I drive by and get one.
They have the best chicken wraps ever!
