Dinner Review. Just had drinks and dinner at Bimini Bar & Grill and I have to say it was excellent.For a restaurant to keep up such good quality during the off season was remarkable. Most restaurants in this area let there quality slide in summer due to the lack of business choosing to satisfy the seasonal crowd instead of the year round crowd that helps them to survive. Everything was awesome and we will be back to help them make it through there slow time. We had the scallops and all four people at our table had the same and all felt it was the best we ever had.
A good dinner. Bimini sits high along a canal, the bar on the 2nd floor, the restaurant another floor up. We had great seats at one of the windows. No activity on the canal while we were there but it is always nice to look out at water. The place was comfortable and was not too busy.I had the Scallops St. Jacque tonight. I didnt much like the cup of Clam Chowder, where the problems ran deeper than my mild dislike of paprika sprinkled on top. The table rolls were also not good. But the scallops? Delicious!!! Fresh and flavorful, nicely seasoned, I liked the sauce, and the bed of orzo was very good. The vegetables were overcooked. I wished there were more scallops.My wife had the Lemon-Caper Salmon, which looked great.Service was fine. It started off businesslike but softened to friendly by the end of the meal. The chowder arrived quickly and the entrees shortly after.It was a good dinner this evening.
Good food, fair prices, nice view but uneven service.
Nice place. First time there was on 2/13/13. a quiet night before Valentines Day. Service was excellent, food was good, and the surroundings were great. We are going back for lunch next week.
Food good. Service was terrible.very, very slow. Waitress picked up my water glass by the rim. Kept telling us our food would be right out.
Great happy hour appetizers for $5 and cold beer on tap.. Excellent service too!
Great spot!. 4 of us had a great meal…a Tuesday night and a beautiful sunset. 2 people had light sandwich meals; two had full dinners. Great to be able to order what you feel like having. Great waiter, Nate. Owner stopped by and is terrific. Could not have asked for a better evening. Lovely steaks! Recommend anyone to give it a try. You can access it by boat or car. Also had luscious deserts! Will definitely put it on our list of great places to go. If you tried it when they first opened…. you should give it a 2nd try. All the rough edges are smoothed out! They’re doing a great job!
