Best ruben I’ve ever had and my wife loved her beef brisket. Friendly staff introduced me to water keifer, a wonderful pro biotic. Looking forward to trying something else new and exciting next time!
Good food and healthier too. With a strong emphasis on your health, Caf Evergreen offers a nice selection of items from salads to sandwiches to smoothies and more. Organic is a common word on the menu. For our lunch today I tried The Reuben, my wife the Salmon Burger.My sandwich was good, the house made sauerkraut and other ingredients mild and worked well together. The sandwich was a reasonable size. We wondered about my wifes Salmon Burger, expecting a salmon patty but instead it was a large bun with a piece of salmon. It did make it easier for her to skip some of the carbs by not eating much of the bun.The place was nicer than I had expected. Earlier I took a photo of the front and thought the place would be small but the entrance is around to the side. They have one room with a couple of tables and a smoothie bar and a second room with about 10 tables. There also have a few outdoor tables. The place was busy when we arrived.For the last few years Caf Evergreen was located at Warm Mineral Springs in North Port. When the Springs closed the owners found this new location in Nokomis. Even though they have only been open 2 months in Nokomis, they are already experienced in providing good healthy food.
We both had good burgers. I had the beef burger and it was great. Really liked the bun too! My wife had the Veggie Burger and she said it was one of the best tasting veggie burgers she has ever had. Lots of flavor and probably homemade!
