Gotta get the Chowder if you come to Captain Curt’s, even the kids like it! That’s the only reason this deserves a 4.0 rating. The atmosphere is fun & laid back. I’m not impressed with the rest of the food on the menu-the chowder is the only item that keeps us coming back
Best clam chowder!
Thursday night Karaoke is awesome! Regular locals take the stage and most are really good! We had a good dinner and we’re just about to leave but when we couldn’t help but sing along… We ended up staying all night singing and dancing with the entire place! Almost forgot about the food. All good! We tried the oysters, mussels, clam chowder, spicy cheesey crab bites, and King crab! Clam chowder literally is the best I’ve ever had!
We went the Captain Curt on the last day for lunch. After lookin on the web and seeing several recommendations, I saw that they were voted best for New England Clam Chowder, which we had to try. At CC the soup was delicious, all clam and only two potatoes. We also had the Maryland Crab Cake which was 70% made of crab and was greater than avg. The service was greater cleaning your table as soon as your done with your dish. I will definitely go back.
Came here for the crab cakes but had to try the award winning clam chowder. Heavy, thick and salty… Wonderful.Crab cakes were very good as well.Staff is really nice.Highly recommended.
Great food, fresh oysters and at great prices
The BEST seafood on the island! We ate there three times during my weeklong visit. The seafood is fresh, hand breaded (if fried). The Clam Chowder is the best I’ve ever eaten. The seafood is the best I’ve ever eaten. I absolutely love this place.
