Excellent food, excellent service! We’ve come here the past two years when in town on vacation. By far our favorite place in Venice. Very friendly folks!
Best Restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. The food was delicious I was with a party of 6 and each one of us went on and on about how delicious their food was. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Close quarters. Cedar Reef is located in a storefront in a shopping area. Within that space they have enough tables so you feel pretty packed together. At least that was how I felt at our table. Perhaps the tables along the walls are better. They do have some seating outside less crowded. For dinner tonight I tried the Garlic Crusted Grouper. It was definitely garlicky and the fish itself was fine. The crusting was a mushy batter that brought the dish down a few notches for me. The rice that accompanied the fish was quite good, the broccoli overcooked. For dessert my wife and I split their Key Lime Creme Brule. It tasted very good but I had another texture problem in that the custard was grainy. The food could have been better, the surroundings more spacious, but the service and the value were good. They had several specials tonight that our server explained. For seafood I thought the entrees were reasonably priced. There was only about a 10 minute wait for our food and I noticed other tables turned over fairly quickly. Maybe that was because I was more aware of the tables around us than usual.
Great salmon and blackened redfish
Impressed. We didn’t give this place much hope with it being located in a shopping strip next to a Publix. But we were WRONG! Phenomenal service, great food, and a small & quiet atmosphere. The food portions were large and worth the money. We will definitely be making more trips here!
Great food, busy place, great value! We called ahead and we’re able to get a table with no wait. Great oysters, redfish with beans and rice, crab legs, scallops. Highly recommend!
Hoping for the best. First time at Cedar Reef.. Place was nice . Menu on wall and specials nice , owner very nice. Do not want them to fail…Constructive criticism = lasagna and salmon were good ,lobster sauce ( 3.00) to expensive and no sherry taste. Fried shrimp were dis appointing , very BROWN and small and dry. Vegetables were disgusting. Garlic rolls 4 for 4 of us were Black on the bottom ,burnt..Will give it one more try before I pass the word.
