Great deal for fine food. Loved it. fine dining version of Italian food in a casual atmosphere, without the high prices. For what you get, the prices are very reasonable. Calamari is awesome. And wife asked for a white sangrai, which they don’t have. But they made one for her specially. so now, be sure to order Karen’s Special Sangria! They’ll know what you mean.
Tastes like nomemade. Amazing flavors. Good location.. We have dined at Chianti three times now, told about good Italian…but it’s the best Italian in this area, with unique, awesome specials and homemade-style classic pasta dishes that taste HOMEMADE! Like your neighbor Mrs Pontarolo used to make. Their lasagna is this best I’ve ever had, with real light layers, not heavy, and it melts in your mouth. The seafood pasta is addictive, the first thing I think of when we get there. Try their sausage appetizer and calamari steak appetizer. We’re going back for more and telling our friends about it…..delish.

I highly recommend the Chianti Ristorante Italiano. The autmosphere,food,and wine is something that every one in Sarasota should experience. It is a place that I will be taking my friends and family to show them one of the best kept secrets in all of Sarasota!
Expensive & Noisey. Our table was ready at time reserved. The bread was fresh and hot. No spices for the oil. We had to ask for butter twice. No meals came with a small salad. Lasagna $17 was a 4×4 piece of lasagna, no vegetable, no meatball, no garnish. Salmon picatta had capers and cold mashed potatoes??? Not angel hair with picatta lemon sauce?? Eggplant Parma did come with rigatoni and red sauce. A second glass of wine was forgotten.The worst part of the meal was the noise. We could not carry on a conversation with the people at our own table. Too many hard surfaces in there for the # of people in the restaurant.
AWFUL. Service was so so, poor quality food.tasted like it was straight out of the can and in the microwave, must be one of the worst value for money italian in the area
