How do you run a business without a phone # to contact the establishment?
Unbelievably rude bartenders! They have 200+ beers and will not take a minute to explain what they have. Cool, not cold beer, over priced beer, made a complaint to the owner of the business and she actually told me that I was wrong for asking the bartenders about the beers! Chili’s has better service. Go elsewhere.
This place is for those who seriously appreciate beer. Bud light lovers need not apply. It is a hidden gem in sarasota. The food is average, but serves the purpose of playing second fiddle to the forty taps and hundreds of bottled options. When we visit sarasota this a must visit watering hole. Make sure you read the hours before you come.
Hidden Gem – Cock & Bull. About 40 draft beers and 700 bottles are part of what make this place exceptional. The pizza is fantastic. A hand tossed crust and well balanced sauce set the stage for a new york style creation. Since you can get any combination including quarter toppings I believe them when they say they are homemade. I think it is the best pizza in Sarasota. They can help u find a beer u like even if u don’t like beer! The backyard is beer garden with a fire pit. I’ve been going every wednesday all summer long. They have $5 liter beers. The place has been cool and comfortable. There is sometimes live music and they do some promotions where they give away glasses and shirts. I have a Magic Hat cap and a Guinness toast shirt now! check it out and u’ll be happily surprised.
Rare finds.. From a woman’s point of view: I am not much of a beer drinker (go figure), but when I do go to Cock & Bull, I drink the Framboise (Belgian raspberry beer) on tap ($7.50). Not many places have it, and it is quite tasty. Everything is really expensive. If you are one of those piss beer drinkers that likes Bud Light, then please go to the nearest sports bar and act like a fool there. Beer snobs go here and pay more for their beer and for the vast selection, in turn they tend to be nicer people (aka not women chasing frat boys). And, guys do not come here to pick up girls. There is a diverse group that attends and I have never had a bad experience, yet. Cock & Bull is definitely NOT a dive bar, as some of the other reviewers claim. Trust me, I have seen some dive bars and this is definitely not one of them. Dive bars have crappy American beer, homeless people spare changing, fights, loitering, and scary types with no teeth that think they live there.Don’t eat the food unless you are absolutely starving or drunk. It is not good and is all prefab and expensive. People told me how wonderful the pizza is, so I ordered it one night and it was Boboli crust with sweet sauce. Gross… I guess drunken people are not that picky.I would NEVER go here if it is hot outside, because there is nowhere to keep cool. That limits my visits to only certain times of the year, and I’m fine with that. This is a great place to meet up with friends during the cooler months, have a drink, sit outside, and have some good conversation.
