America’s diner. I always like stopping at diners, the people are almost always friendly, the food plenty and good, and the price reasonable. My server today at this Dennys was friendly and my Moons Over My Hammy Omelette was good and reasonably priced. I got this ham & cheese omelette with hash browns, which tasted better than they looked. Portion size seemed small for a diner. For a three egg omelette it seemed small, and where you may expect much of the plate to be filled with too many hash browns what I was served was nowhere close to covering the plate. Probably good for me, healthier this way.The entire process from initial contact to paying the bill all went very well. My server kept my coffee refilled and checked on me a few times during my stay. It was a good start to the day.
With being a restaurant critic, I find my job fairly easy. I come in, write reviews, and eat food. However, in this case it wasn’t a planned work visit. My fiance, has come in to file paperwork to be employed. I decided to go with her, for she has never filed any before. Without going into too much personal detail, the manager (Pedro) is very disrespectful. Moving her to another table, blaming her for being 5 minutes late when he said to be there AROUND 8. He knows we walked there, and its early and 50s. So food wise, dennys gets a B. Service wise F.

Mels was much better. Hands down worst resturant in venice florida..food everytime we go there is either served cold or full of grease managment is a joke have been there ten time hoping the food would get better over tiime they have been open a year an a half and still no progress is made you can overhear the managers and staff talking about drug use this is supposed to be a family resturant not some biker bar one time we were in there having dinner and overheard the manager talking about the maggots in the kitchen. the roof leaks on your food and all they do is laugh about it if your looking for family enviroment I would go to sharkys on venice beach
