Loved it!. The food was spectacular! Charming little restaurant. The owners were very nice and friendly. I had the spaghetti Putanesca and my companion had a triangular pasta with a creamy sauce, both dishes were amazing. We will be back.
The best Italian food by far in Sarasota. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Reasonable prices. Charming Italians owners. A+++++. It’s hard to find but worth the search.
I was born and raised in New York City and have had some fantastic Italian food in my life, now I live in Sarasota Florida and the only place that comes close serving to authentic Italian food is dolce italia. Hands down best Italian food In Sarasota, all pastas are homemade and they have 5-6 different specials every night. On top of all that the food is priced extremely reasonably. Never again will I go to mediteraneano or any other downtown Italian restaurant when I can go to dolce and get better food for a better price. If you have not tried this place you must, they make some of the best Italian dishes I’ve ever experienced. Do not expect your typical Americanized italian dishes (chicken parm, chicken picata, ect) , the husband and wife who own the establishment have created a menu that truly makes you believe you’re in an Italian household being served some fantastic tradition Italian food.
A gem in the very busy Sarasota restaurant business. This is a must if you want to eat true homemade Italian pastas and sauces brought over from Italy.
Not really that impressive. Host seemed angry that he had to seat another table. Calamari was definitely rubberized. Would not return.

Dining here with friends was such a great experience. Service was friendly and food was great. I would become a regular here if I lived in Sarasota.
