Tasty but a little scimpy on the meat. Cheesesteak
I was born and raised in s philly, near Pat’s Steaks. Gentile Brothers sandwiches are the genuine article. As good as any original Philly steak shop. Just go. Enjoy. You’ll be singing Fly Eagles Fly in no time at all.
They make you happy. Loved their cheesesteaks great bunch of guys running the place doing whatever it takes to make sure your satisfied they are a little hidden at the end of the plaza don’t give find it and enjoy.
Dis is da Real Deal for cheesesteaks. Just like you would find in Center City, this is authentic. Amoroso bread shipped in, fresh not frozen meat, people who know what they are doing, and a Phiily dcor, this hidden Cheesesteak and Hoagie place should be visited by any true cheesesteak aficionado. I had the cheesesteak whiz wit and included sweet peppers. It took like one bite for me to realize this was the real deal.Gentile Bros. is family owned and operated. The have 6 tables. When I was there it was not busy. They are located at the NE corner US41 and Brueckner Dr in a little strip mall called South Trail Plaza, behind the Pinch-A-Penny. Easy to miss, but you should not miss it.
Real deal cheesesteak in SRQ. Went by for cheesesteaks, due to the article in the Sarasota Herald. Definitely not to be missed if you are a cheesesteak fan. The real deal from the decor to the food.Family run restaurant……….looked like a couple of brothers and the father.Signage tells you how to order. Cheesesteak, whiz, wit………..meaning with cheeze wiz and onions, etc. That’s how I had mine. OMG…….it is soooooooooo good. The bread is directly from Philly……….something that makes or breaks this sandwich. Definitely makes it worthwhile.Beef, high quality, thinly sliced (as opposed to chopped as some do it)…..plenty of whiz, but not so much that it shoots out when you take a bite. My wife had it with provalone…..whiz is the way to go.Had the fries as well. Good, not great. Frozen, but coated with parm……so they had good flavor.Great spot……….we’ll be back.
