It was fun. We seldom eat sushi and mostly dont know what we are doing, but based on a recommendation from a friend we popped in at Goichis tonight. It is a small place but there was space for us when we arrived. We found very friendly and super helpful service throughout our visit. We also found some very good food.Sushi menus are often very long and the one at Goichis was no exception. With so many choices I just asked for and went with our servers suggestions, a Tornado and a Crystal. The Tornado was fried spicy salmon with a special eel sauce, the Crystal spicy tuna with avocado and tempura flakes. We found both to be very good. The Dragon my wife ordered, eel and cucumber wrapped with avocado, was also very good but more difficult to eat. I was fun sharing sushi pieces and in the end, an order of fried ice cream. We met a man, a regular, who loves this place. He was very knowledgeable about the food and restaurant and nice to talk to. We learned Goichis offers some different items depending on the day of the week and other daily specials. I didnt follow all of what he told us but I learned each day has its own twist. All in all it was a very nice night and now I get to recommend Goichis to you.
