This place SUCKS!!!. I read the reviews for this place on here and thought I would give it a try… What a BIG MISTAKE that was!!! I had the Meatball parm that had way to much garlic in it was ridiculous unless I was going to be attacked by Vampires tonight because I could breath on them and kill them! I ordered a side of Angel hair pasta on the side and that was ball of mush!!! When I tried to twirl the pasta it would break off in a clump! The garlic bread that came with it was so hard you could not even bit into it! But if I ever need a bullet proof vest I will make sure I stop by here and get there bread it should keep me safe!!!! My son had the Chicken Parm and the chicken was burnt!!! What the hell people!!! The penne pasta was a doughy mess and un-edible!!! The people who left reviews are liars, friends of the owners or have no taste buds. The table next to us ordered a pizza and it was burnt also and the waitress asked them if it was okay or did they want a new one!!! If a server realizes something is burnt you fix it!!! You don’t bring it out and ask!!! You FIX it!!!! Act like you have some sense or hire someone that knows how to cook would work also without burning everything!!!! Also the place is NASTY!!! The table was sticky and there was an 1/2 inch of dust on the napkin despenser!!!

Good food at Goodfellas. Ive driven past hundreds of times, never paid much attention, never stopped by. That changed today. We stopped in for lunch and both my wife and I enjoyed our visit and food. Tough to choose between pizza and sandwiches, we finally opted for sandwiches. I selected a Sausage Parmigiana on a roll, she a Bella Italiano Panini. Both were moderately priced at 7 bucks. My sandwich was too messy to pick up so I attacked it with silverware. The sausage was delicious, I love Italian sausage. The other ingredients were fine. I found my sandwich a little too small. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her sandwich, a perfect size for her smaller appetite.I liked the place. I had expected a dump and found a nice caf. It is also a winery so there are bottles for sale. They also operate a deli and have coffee selections and offer some bakery items. They even play Italian music (think Dean Martin) in the background. I liked our server, very friendly and personable. We learned Goodfellas has been at that location for well over a decade so they must be doing something right. The manager stopped by to be sure all was well. It was.We both really liked our lunch and planned to return soon to try their crispy crust pizza. I love it when a plan comes together and a few days later we returned for the pizza. It was very thin crust and so easy to eat. We had a modified Marghrita. The only downside of this excellent pizza was because there was so little crust we devoured the entire pie and wished there were more.

Pizza at it’s best. I’m torn do I tell you the pizza is great and risk not getting a table in season or forget it. Since the way I see it I’m not going to get a table in season anyway here goes. I am a chef who owned an Italian restaurant in Sarasota for 13 years before that I owned two pizza restaurants in New York City. I love pizza and I know pizza. I was a little surprized at the low regard pizza was held at in Sarasota price seemed to be the reason to buy.The pizza I tryed one after another was not good for a lot of reasons. I gave up. I forgot pizza until I found Goodfellers pizza now to make a long story short I eat pizza twice week and the truth be told I could eat it everyday.

Amazing pizza!! Great atmosphere ang just about everything is homemade including vinegar, oils, pastas, and wine. I will definately be going there again!
